Sacred Choral Music by William Stevens

Over the years I have written many kinds of music from children's songs to opera, and from fiddle tunes to film scores. But in recent years my focus has been on music for worship and I am increasingly moved by the power of music in moments of rejoicing, meditation, and lament.

This site offers music that I have written for worship at Augsburg Lutheran Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and none of it would have happened without the support and encouragement of Don Armitage, Cantor at Augsburg and former musical director of the Piedmont Chamber Singers.

As you browse these pages, if you find anything that you believe you can use for your church choir or your chorus, feel free to print it out and make copies. The music is in portable document format (pdf) and requires the Acrobat Reader to view. If you don't have the reader, download it here.
