A few years ago I wanted to write music for Psalm 95 for use on Christ the King Sunday, and I started looking for a good metrical setting.  The poetry I chose was from Michael Morgan's Psalter for Christian Worship (Witherspoon Press, 1999).  Michael's lyrical and musical use of language inspired my imagination and I have returned to his poetry again and again.  All of the musical settings listed below use Michael's poetry, and I deeply appreciate his permission to use the texts here.

This collection has two sorts of settings: Psalms in an anthem style which would be sung by the choir, and Psalms in a hymn style which are meant to be sung by the congregation, at least on some verses.

Please click on each individual Psalm to view and print in portable document format (pdf).  You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view my compositions.
